This article is written with genuine love for every person who was raised within the organisation of Jehovah's Witnesses or has fallen under its teachings. Genuine love does not keep silent about the truth, and the truth is spoken not with harshness but with complete clarity — as the Holy Scriptures say: like fire and like a hammer that shatters rock. If you are among those who believe the teachings of this organisation, know that we do not hate you — rather we love you as a human being whom God created and for whom He gave His Son. But this love obliges us to speak the whole truth, because a love that keeps silent about the truth is not love — it is betrayal.
We say this plainly from the very beginning, and we will not soften it to maintain a false peace that serves no one: Jehovah's Witnesses are not our brothers in the faith. They are our brothers in humanity — made by the hands of God and loved by Him as human beings — but they are not brothers in the biblical faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, because the biblical faith rests upon the Christ of the Holy Scriptures — God manifest in the flesh — not upon a substitute, created christ who is the archangel Michael. The teaching this organisation carries is not merely a theological error — it is a satanic heresy whose goal is to destroy the true Christian faith from the roots, by replacing the biblical Christ with a counterfeit christ.
Yet we believe that God can open the eyes of every person — including Jehovah's Witnesses — to the truth. For that reason this article was written: to examine the teachings of this organisation on the scales of the Word of God, and to invite every reader to the true Lord Jesus Christ — the incarnate Jehovah — who died and rose and came to save sinners.
We will examine the teachings in the light of these biblical truths:
- The translation the organisation uses is corrupted, built on defective manuscripts, and written to serve a doctrine rather than to express the original text
- The organisation's teaching confuses biblical dispensations and applies promises given to Israel to itself, when it is not Israel
- The 144,000 in the book of Revelation are Jews from the twelve tribes of Israel — not members of a modern organisation
- Romans 11 demolishes the organisation's doctrine concerning Israel completely and finally
- Matthew 11:27 reveals that whoever does not know the Lord Jesus Christ as the eternal God does not know the Father — and the devil blinds the minds of unbelievers to this truth
- John 20:28 testifies that the Lord Jesus Christ rose bodily in flesh and bones — and His word is truth and does not lie
- The Lord Jesus Christ is Jehovah — the First and the Last — to His name be glory for ever
Biblical truth is not spoken with fear. It is spoken with love — but with complete clarity. For the Word of God is «like a hammer that shatters rock» — and this article will strike every false doctrine with that hammer, in the hope that the rock may shatter and hearts open to the Lord Jesus Christ.
First — Corrupted Translations Built on Corrupted Manuscripts
Before we speak about any theological teaching, we must speak about the source. Upon what book do you build your faith? Upon what manuscripts is your version translated? This is the most important question of all, because if you are using a corrupted text, then everything that follows will likewise be corrupted — like a corrupt tree producing corrupt fruit.
Two Families of Greek Manuscripts
It is essential to understand that the question of which manuscripts underlie a translation is not a trivial technical detail — it is the foundational question. For if you build your faith upon a text that has been edited to remove or alter passages that teach the deity of Christ, then your faith, however sincere, is resting not on the Word of God but on the word of men who had an agenda to serve. And the agenda of those who produced the New World Translation was explicit and documented: to produce a text that would support the pre-existing doctrine of their organisation, not a text that would faithfully represent the ancient manuscripts. This is not responsible Bible translation in any academically accepted sense of the term — this is doctrinal engineering, the systematic rewriting of a sacred text to make it support conclusions that the original text does not support and in key passages explicitly contradicts. The distinction between a translation and a paraphrase is important; but the distinction between a translation and a doctrinal rewrite is even more important, and it is the second distinction that applies to the New World Translation.
Throughout history there have been two main families of manuscripts of the Greek New Testament:
The first — the Received Text (Textus Receptus): built upon approximately 5,000 ancient Greek manuscripts that agree with one another to a very high degree. These manuscripts were used in the churches across the centuries, and were the source of most historical translations. The Van Dyck Arabic translation (1865) is built upon this text. The King James English translation (1611) is built upon it as well. This is the text that God preserved in His church through the ages.
The second — the Critical Text: built primarily upon only two ancient manuscripts — the Sinaiticus and the Vaticanus — discovered in the nineteenth century. These two manuscripts differ from the Received Text in thousands of places, and differ from each other in thousands of words. These manuscripts were not used by the Church through the ages because the Church examined them and rejected them as unreliable. The Vatican Manuscript drops complete verses, leaves entire sections blank, and contains thousands of internal inconsistencies. And the Sinaiticus was found in a monastery at Sinai in the nineteenth century where it had been placed in a basket of waste paper scheduled for burning — hardly the treatment one would give a cherished and authoritative biblical text. The Church knew these manuscripts, and the Church did not trust them.
Modern translations (such as the New World Translation which you use) are built upon these corrupted and rejected manuscripts. The result is catastrophic: complete verses disappear, key words are changed, and the deity of Christ vanishes from principal texts.
Examples of Texts That Disappear or Change in Your Translation
The first example — 1 John 5:7:
The Van Dyck (the Received Text):
This verse plainly witnesses to the Trinity and the unity of the three Persons. Modern translations built on the corrupted manuscripts omit this verse entirely or place it in brackets as if it were doubtful. Why? Because it demolishes the teaching of your organisation, which denies the deity of Christ and of the Holy Ghost.
The second example — 1 Timothy 3:16:
The Van Dyck:
«God was manifest in the flesh» — a plain scriptural declaration that the Lord Jesus Christ is God incarnate. Modern translations change this to «He who was manifest in the flesh» — turning «God» into a vague pronoun. Why? Because the verse as it stands in the Received Text demolishes your organisation's teaching with a single blow.
The third example — Revelation 1:11:
The Van Dyck: "I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last" — the Lord Jesus Christ declares that He is «the Alpha and the Omega» — and in Revelation 21:6 God sitting upon the throne declares the same thing: «I am Alpha and Omega». If Christ is the Alpha and the Omega, and God is the Alpha and the Omega — the logical conclusion is unbearable for your organisation. Therefore the modern translation omits or weakens these declarations.
The fourth example — 1 John 1:7:
The Van Dyck: "And the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin". The New World Translation omits or weakens the title «Christ» — dropping the connotations of deity from the text.
Modern Translations Reflect the Translator's Doctrine, Not the Original Text
The bitter truth — and it is documented and verifiable — is that the New World Translation you use was not prepared by recognised or reputable Greek scholars. When the Watch Tower Society finally permitted the names of the translation committee to be known, those names were Frederick Franz, Nathan Knorr, Albert Schroeder, George Gangas, and Milton Henschel. Academic scrutiny of their qualifications revealed that none of them had a university degree in biblical languages. Franz claimed some knowledge of Greek, but under cross-examination in a Scottish court case in 1954, he failed to translate a simple passage from the Hebrew Bible. These are the men who rewrote the New Testament. The bitter truth is that the New World Translation you use was not prepared by reputable Greek scholars. The committee that produced it kept its members' names secret. When they were eventually revealed, it emerged that most of them could not read Koine Greek at an academic level. They did not translate the Holy Scriptures — they rewrote it to conform to what they wanted to believe.
Compare for yourself: take John 1:1 in your translation. It reads: «and the Word was a god» — with an indefinite article: «a god». Now take the same verse in the Van Dyck: "and the Word was God" — definite, the true God. Which translation is correct? The answer is straightforward and easy and abundantly clear: the Van Dyck faithfully matches the Greek text which says «καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος» — «and the Word was God». There is no indefinite article here in the Greek. Your translation added an article to weaken the deity of Christ.
These modern translations do not reveal to you what the Scriptures said — they conceal from you what was said, and present to you what your organisation wants you to believe. The difference is fundamental.
Second — Confusing the Dispensations: You Are Not Israel
The second reason for the error of your teaching is the confusion of dispensations. Your organisation takes promises that God gave to Israel and applies them to itself. It takes prophecies specific to a particular Jewish people at a particular time and makes them about itself. This is what is called «Replacement Theology» — and it is a catastrophic error.
The Holy Scriptures Recognise Two Distinct Peoples
Throughout the whole of the Holy Scriptures, God maintains a distinction between two distinct peoples:
- Israel: the chosen earthly people of God, descended from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. They have earthly promises (the land of Canaan, the throne of David, the kingdom in Jerusalem).
- The Church: the spiritual body of Christ composed of Jews and Gentiles alike. It has heavenly promises (the Rapture, eternal dwelling, the heavenly inheritance).
The apostle Paul writes:
Note: three distinct entities — the Jews, the Greeks (Gentiles), and the church of God. If the Church were Israel, the apostle Paul would not have spoken of three distinct entities.
The 144,000 in the Book of Revelation Are Jews Only
Your organisation teaches that the 144,000 mentioned in the book of Revelation are a special class of organisational members who will reign with Christ in heaven. This teaching directly contradicts the scriptural text.
Read what the Scriptures say for yourself:
Then it continues listing the twelve tribes — Asher, Naphtali, Manasseh, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, Zebulon, Joseph, Benjamin — all from the children of Israel. 12,000 from each tribe × 12 tribes = 144,000. How can anyone who reads this text conclude that the 144,000 are not Jews but members of a contemporary organisation? This is textually impossible.
The 144,000 are historical Jews from the twelve tribes who will serve God in the time of the Great Tribulation after the rapture of the Church. They are not you, and they are not your organisation. Applying this number to non-Jews is a theological theft of a promise that God gave to another people.
Romans 11 Demolishes Your Organisation's Teaching
If there is one passage that demolishes the theology of your organisation from its very roots, it is Romans 11. Your organisation teaches that Israel was finally rejected and replaced. The apostle Paul opens Romans 11 with a direct question:
«God forbid» in Greek is «μὴ γένοιτο» (mē genoito) — the absolute strongest negation in the entire Greek language. This expression was used by classical Greek writers to express absolute impossibility — something that must under no circumstances whatsoever be allowed to happen, that is utterly contrary to the nature of reality. The apostle Paul uses it fourteen times in his letters, always to dismiss as completely impossible a suggestion that contradicts the nature and faithfulness of God. He could not have chosen stronger language. The apostle Paul repudiates the idea that God rejected Israel with the most forceful language possible.
He then adds:
The divine answer is conclusive: God has not rejected Israel. He still intends to fulfil His promises to her in the future.
He continues: "that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved" (Romans 11:25-26). «Blindness in part» — not total. «Until» — temporary, with an end. «And so all Israel shall be saved» — a firm future promise.
Your organisation says: «Israel was rejected; the new Church is the true Israel». The apostle Paul says directly: "God forbid, He hath not cast away His people, all Israel shall be saved." Whom do you believe — your organisation, or the apostle Paul?
Third — You Do Not Truly Know the Lord Jesus Christ
This is the hardest point, and the most candid, and the most important of all. I will say it with great love but with complete frankness: you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ. You know His name, you know stories about Him, you know what your organisation teaches you about Him — but you do not know Him personally, because you know a counterfeit version of Him, not His biblical truth.
The Dangerous Declaration of Christ in Matthew 11:27
The Lord Jesus Christ Himself said:
This is a staggering and far-reaching declaration. Christ says that no one knows Him but the Father, and no one knows the Father but Him. Note the perfect parallelism — this parallelism is impossible for a created being. How can a created being fully know the infinite God? And how can God who knows all things «not know» but one created being? The parallelism reveals that Christ here speaks as an equal of God, not as a creature. No created being — however exalted, however close to God, however ancient — could stand in this perfectly symmetrical relationship to the infinite God. The archangel Michael knows a great deal about God, as any creature of God would. But he could never claim that «no one knows the Father but me, and I am the one who chooses to reveal Him to others.» This claim belongs to one who shares the very essence of God — and that is the very meaning of true and full deity.
Now the decisive question: who are those to whom Christ «will reveal» the Father? The scriptural answer: those who believe in Him as the incarnate God. If you know Christ only as an archangel, or as a lofty created being, then you have not received this revelation. Because Christ does not reveal an abridged version of Himself. He reveals Himself as He is — God incarnate.
The Devil Blinds the Eyes of Unbelievers
The apostle Paul writes that there is an active spiritual power preventing people from seeing the truth:
«The god of this world» is the devil. And what is his goal? To blind the minds against «the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God.» The devil specifically targets the concealment of one truth: that Christ is God Himself in human form. Any teaching that reduces Christ from God to a creature is exactly what the devil wants.
I ask you not to be angry — I love you in the Lord Jesus Christ and want for you the truth. But the hard question: if the devil aims to blind minds against the deity of Christ, and your teaching denies His deity — who taught you this? Ponder it and do not be angry.
John 20:28 — Thomas's Confession That Demolishes Your Organisation
After the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, He appeared to the disciples in the upper room. Thomas was absent, and when he was told of Christ's appearance he said:
Eight days later, Christ appeared again with Thomas present. He said to him:
Then came the greatest confession in all of Holy Scripture:
Examine the Greek carefully: «ho kurios mou kai ho theos mou» (ὁ κύριός μου καὶ ὁ θεός μου) — «my Lord and my God» — with the definite article in both cases. Not «a god» in the indefinite, but the God. Thomas confessed that the Lord Jesus Christ is the true God.
Now the decisive question: how did Christ respond? Did He rebuke Thomas? Did He say, «No, you are wrong, I am not God»? Did He correct his understanding? Not at all. He said to him:
Christ accepted the confession. More than that — He declared that everyone who believes in this truth (that Christ is Lord and God) receives a blessing. The Holy Scriptures are clear: any person who attributes deity to a created being commits blasphemy and is judged for it. Note what happened to Herod:
Herod accepted being called a god — and the angel of the Lord struck him down. If Christ were a creature and accepted Thomas's confession of «my God», He would have accepted a blasphemy. But Christ accepted it with joy — because He truly is God.
Your translation attempts to undermine this text by various means — claiming that Thomas was not speaking to Christ but exclaiming toward heaven, or that he said «my Lord» only as an expression of astonishment. Read the text again: "And said unto him" — in Greek: «eipen auto» (εἶπεν αὐτῷ) — «said to him». The pronoun «to him» refers unambiguously to Christ in Greek grammar. Thomas addressed Christ directly.
The Bodily Resurrection — Christ Has Flesh and Bones
Your organisation teaches that the Lord Jesus Christ did not rise bodily from the dead, but rose «spiritually», and that His body «dissolved» or was «dematerialized». This teaching directly contradicts the scriptural text.
After the resurrection, Christ appeared to the disciples. They thought they were seeing a spirit. What did He say to them?
Read these words repeatedly. Is Christ a liar? Is this a Christ who deceives His disciples? Christ affirmed to them with utmost clarity: «I am not a spirit, for a spirit has not flesh and bones as you see I have». So either we believe Christ, whose words are preserved in the very Scripture your organisation claims to honour and distribute, or we believe your organisation which teaches that Christ was «a spirit only» with no physical body after the resurrection. One of these two cannot be right. And the choice before you is that simple. Both cannot be true.
Moreover, Christ, in an act of patient and gracious condescension to human unbelief, asked for food and ate before the disciples in full view to prove beyond any reasonable doubt that His body was real and tangible:
Spirits do not eat. This is conclusive proof of the bodily resurrection.
The Body That Rose Is the Same Body That Was Crucified
Before the crucifixion, Christ said to the Jews:
The Jews understood Him to be speaking of the stone temple, but John clarifies:
Christ promised to raise the temple of His body — the same body. Not a new body, not a spirit in place of a body — but the same temple.
If the resurrection of Christ was only spiritual, why did He say «I will raise it» pointing to the same crucified body? And why was the tomb empty on the morning of the resurrection? If the body had dissolved or dematerialized, there would have been no need for an empty tomb. The body was gone from the tomb because Christ rose bodily and physically in it — in the very same body, with the very same wounds, that had been nailed to the cross, bearing the wounds the disciples could see and touch, eating food as a real physical body does, walking the roads of Galilee in a form that could be recognised by those who knew Him.
The apostle Paul declares:
If the resurrection of Christ were only spiritual or symbolic, then the preaching is vain and the faith is vain. But Christ rose bodily, so the preaching is real and the faith is real — for all who believe in Christ as He is, not as your organisation portrays Him.
Fourth — The Lord Jesus Christ Is Jehovah
This is the summit of biblical testimony concerning the identity of the Lord Jesus Christ, and it is the point at which the entire edifice of your organisation's teaching is most fatally exposed. If we can demonstrate from the Old Testament itself — from the very texts your organisation uses to establish the absolute uniqueness and supremacy of Jehovah — that the Lord Jesus Christ is that Jehovah, then the claim that He is a created being is refuted beyond all reasonable doubt. And this is precisely what the Holy Scriptures do, repeatedly, across both testaments.
Your organisation teaches that Jehovah is the name of the true God, and that Christ is not Jehovah but a separate created being. This is the greatest theological error in your organisation's teaching, because it denies the deity of Christ and makes Him less than God. But the Holy Scriptures testify plainly: the Lord Jesus Christ is Jehovah.
The Name Jehovah Is Attributed to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost
The astonishing biblical truth is that the name Jehovah is attributed to all three Persons of the divine Trinity, because it is the name of the one God revealed in three Persons.
The name Jehovah attributed to the Father:
In Hebrew: «ne'um Yehovah la'adoni» — «the LORD says to my Lord». The first (Jehovah) is the Father, and the second (Lord) is Christ. Christ Himself cited this verse to establish His deity (Matthew 22:41-46). The Father is Jehovah — this is plain.
The name Jehovah attributed to the Son:
Read slowly: Jehovah (the speaker) says He will save the house of Judah «by the LORD their God». In Hebrew: «uhosha'tim baYehovah Eloheyhem» — «I will save them by Jehovah their God».
Do you see what is happening? One Jehovah speaks of another Jehovah through whom He saves! The first Jehovah is the Father. The second Jehovah — who saves the people of God — is the Lord Jesus Christ. Who saved the people of God? Christ upon the cross. The name Christ bears in Hebrew — Yeshua (Yehoshua) — literally means: «Jehovah saves». The name of Christ is a direct declaration that He is Jehovah the Saviour.
The name Jehovah attributed to the Holy Ghost:
In Isaiah 6:8-9, Jehovah sitting upon the throne sends Isaiah with a word. The apostle Paul cites this passage in Acts 28:25-27 and says: "Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet." Who spoke through Isaiah in Isaiah 6? The Hebrew text attributes it to Jehovah. The apostle Paul attributes it to the Holy Ghost. The plain conclusion: the Holy Ghost is Jehovah.
Jehovah Is Who Visited Abraham in Genesis 18
In Genesis 18, Jehovah appeared to Abraham in the form of three men:
One of these three men was Jehovah Himself. He spoke with Abraham, discussed with him the matter of Sodom, and promised him the son Isaac. And in Genesis 18:17, "And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do?" — Jehovah Himself speaks face to face with Abraham. Yet we know from John 1:18:
How do we reconcile this?
The answer: the «God» whom no man has seen at any time is the Father — in the fullness of His invisible essence. But the One who appeared to Abraham, to Moses, and to the prophets was God the Son — the Word before the Incarnation, whom John completes:
The Son is the one who reveals the Father, and appears to mankind. Every appearance of Jehovah in the Old Testament is an appearance of the Son before the Incarnation.
Christ Declares That He Is the One Who Spoke to Abraham
In John 8, Christ debated with the Jews about His identity. They said to Him:
The answer shook the world:
«I am» — in Greek «egō eimi» (ἐγὼ εἰμί). This is the precise and deliberate translation equivalent of the name Jehovah gave Himself to Moses in Exodus 3:14: «I AM THAT I AM» — «the One who is, the self-existent One, the eternal Being». Christ took this most sacred divine Name and declared that He is it. He did not say «I existed before Abraham was born», which would have expressed pre-existence in ordinary past tense. He said «I am» — present tense of eternal, absolute, self-existent being. This is not the way any created being can speak. Created beings exist conditionally, dependently, having received their existence from another. But Jehovah is the only Being whose existence is absolute, unconditioned, and self-sustaining — and it is precisely this name that Christ claimed for Himself.
What did the Jews do?
They understood perfectly that He was claiming deity. Had He merely claimed to be a superior created being, they would not have attempted to stone Him. Stoning was the prescribed penalty under the Mosaic law for blasphemy — which in this context meant claiming to be God or equal to God (Leviticus 24:16). The Jews did not misunderstand Christ. They understood Him perfectly. Christ declared that He is Jehovah, and the Jews heard it, grasped exactly what it meant, and immediately tried to stone Him for it. Your translation attempts to soften «I am» to «I have been» — blurring the connection to Exodus 3, obscuring the claim to deity. This is falsification.
All That Belongs to Jehovah Belongs to Christ
Read these parallels for yourself:
Isaiah 44:6 says of Jehovah: "I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God." And Revelation 1:17-18 records Christ saying of Himself: "I am the first and the last: And he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore." If «the first and the last» is a description of Jehovah, and Christ is «the first and the last», the one logical conclusion is: Christ is Jehovah.
Isaiah 45:23 records Jehovah: "unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear." And Philippians 2:10-11 records the apostle Paul speaking of Christ: "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." What is the exclusive right of Jehovah (universal worship) has become the right of Christ. Because Christ is Jehovah.
Isaiah 40:3 says: "The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD" — «the LORD» here in Hebrew is Jehovah. John the Baptist cites this verse and applies it to Christ (Matthew 3:3, Mark 1:2-3, Luke 3:4). John prepared the way of Christ — because Christ is the coming Jehovah.
Zechariah 12:10 records Jehovah: "And they shall look upon me whom they have pierced." This is the word of Jehovah Himself — «they pierced Me». John 19:37 cites this verse at the crucifixion of Christ. Jehovah is the one who was pierced on the cross — that is, Christ.
The Name of Zechariah the Prophet
The name Zechariah in Hebrew is «Zekharyah» (זְכַרְיָה) — composed of «zakhar» (he remembers) + «Yah» (the abbreviated form of Jehovah). Its meaning: «Jehovah has remembered». The prophet's name carries the name of God. This is a common pattern in Hebrew — many prophets and persons bear names containing «Yah» or «Yahu» or «El»: Elijah = Eli + Yahu = «my God is Jehovah». Isaiah = Yesha'yah = «Jehovah saves». Yehoshua (Joshua) = «Jehovah saves». This is the same name given to Christ:
The angel declared that the Saviour bears the name «Jehovah saves» — and none saves the people but Jehovah Himself.
Fifth — Final Application to Hosea 1:7
Among all the biblical passages that bear on this question, Hosea 1:7 may be the single most devastating to the teaching of your organisation, because it requires Jehovah to speak about Jehovah in the same breath — making a unitarianism of the sort your organisation teaches literally impossible to maintain while taking the Hebrew text seriously.
Let us re-read Hosea 1:7 very slowly and very carefully, pausing over every element and refusing to hurry past what the Hebrew is actually saying, because this single verse — when read with full attentiveness to the original Hebrew — demolishes in one movement the entire theological structure your organisation has spent more than a century building:
The speaker is Jehovah. He says: «I will save the house of Judah by the LORD their God». The instrument through which Jehovah saves is «the LORD their God». Who is this Lord their God? In Hebrew: «baYehovah Eloheyhem» — «by Jehovah their God». Jehovah saves by Jehovah.
This can be interpreted only by the Trinity. Jehovah (the Father) attributes the salvation to Jehovah (the Son, who was incarnate and died upon the cross). Christ is the instrument through which the Father saves. Christ is not a creature — Christ is Jehovah who was incarnate to save. And how did Jehovah save His people? Not by bow or sword or battle — but by the cross. Christ did not come with a weapon, but with His blood.
This is the salvation of Jehovah by Jehovah — God rescuing His people not by military power but through the sacrificial death of His own incarnate Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Sixth — Answers to Common Objections
Every organisation that holds a position in tension with the plain biblical text needs proof texts — verses that can be cited to make the position seem scriptural. Your organisation has a carefully curated list of such texts, and its members are trained to cite them in response to the arguments we have been making. Below I address the five most commonly used ones, clearly and completely. In each case you will find that the difficulty vanishes completely when the verse is read honestly in its full biblical context, in a faithful translation of the received Greek text, rather than in the interpretive isolation that your organisation's literature habitually imposes on each passage.
You may now be thinking: «But my organisation taught me verses that support its teaching». Yes. I will present the common verses your organisation uses and answer them honestly from the Holy Scriptures.
Objection One — «Proverbs 8:22 says Christ was created»
This is perhaps the most frequently cited passage by your organisation to support its claim that Christ is a created being. But as we shall see, the passage does not say what your organisation claims it says — and a careful reading of both the Hebrew original and the wider context of Colossians 1 settles the matter definitively.
Your organisation cites Proverbs 8:22 in the New World Translation: «Jehovah made me as the beginning of his way». It claims that «Wisdom» here is Christ, and that He was «made» — that is, created.
The Van Dyck (the correct text):
The Hebrew word «qanani» (qanah) means primarily «possessed» or «acquired». In Genesis 14:19 it is used to say the Most High God is «possessor of heaven and earth» — God did not «create» the heavens but «possesses» them. Likewise in Proverbs 8, Wisdom is something God eternally possesses. The divine Wisdom was with Him before all things — a description of the eternity of Christ, not of His creation.
Moreover, the surrounding context (Proverbs 8:23-30) describes Wisdom as a co-worker with God in creation:
Wisdom was «a craftsman» with God — a co-creator. This matches John 1:3: "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." Christ is the Creator, not a creature.
Objection Two — «Christ is the firstborn of all creation (Colossians 1:15)»
Your organisation cites Colossians 1:15: "Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature." It says: «firstborn means the first created».
Two answers:
First, the Greek word «prōtotokos» (πρωτότοκος) means «first in rank, or the chief heir» — not necessarily the first in temporal existence. Example: David was called "Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth" (Psalm 89:27). Was David the first son of his father Jesse? No — he was the youngest of seven. «Firstborn» here means the highest in rank, the chosen heir. Likewise Christ is «firstborn of every creature» — meaning the Owner and Heir and Lord over all creation.
Second, read the immediately following verses: "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible... All things were created by him, and for him. And he is before all things, and by him all things consist" (Colossians 1:16-17). «All things» — no exception. Christ created everything. If Christ were a created being, He would have created Himself — which is impossible. Christ is the Creator, and therefore is not a creature.
Objection Three — «Christ said: the Father is greater than I (John 14:28)»
Your organisation uses John 14:28 extensively: "the Father is greater than I." It claims this denies the deity of Christ.
Read the context honestly. Christ is speaking after He had taken the form of a servant, emptied Himself, and lived among men. The apostle Paul explains this precisely:
«Equal with God» (isa theo) — a definitive statement of deity. Christ was equal to the Father in essence. But He «made himself of no reputation» — He laid aside the exercise of His divine attributes in their fullness, and entered the world of men in the form of a servant. In that voluntarily humble state, the Father was «greater» — occupying a higher position, commanding while Christ obeyed. But in essence, the two are one. «The Father is greater» describes rank in functional operation during the Incarnation, not divine essence.
A simple human illustration: a father is greater than his son in parental authority. But the father and son are equal in their humanity. Both are fully human. So the Father is greater than Christ in the ordering of divine operation, but both are the one God in essence.
Objection Four — «The Holy Ghost Is a Force, Not a Person»
Your organisation teaches that the Holy Ghost is not a person but an «active force» like electricity. The Holy Scriptures demolish this teaching in every place.
The Holy Ghost speaks:
An electric force does not speak — only persons speak.
The Holy Ghost chooses:
A force does not make choices — persons make choices.
The Holy Ghost grieves:
A force does not grieve — persons grieve.
The Holy Ghost bears witness:
A force does not bear witness — persons bear witness.
The Holy Ghost can be lied to:
And two verses later:
Note: to lie to the Holy Ghost = to lie to God. The Holy Ghost is God.
And finally, the baptismal formula: "baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" (Matthew 28:19). «Name» (eis to onoma) — singular, not plural. One name for the three Persons. If the Holy Ghost were a force, the formula would read «in the name of the Father and the Son and the power of God» — but no, the one name applies to all three, because all three are the one Jehovah.
Objection Five — «We Honour the Name Jehovah, While Others Do Not»
Your organisation boasts that it uses the name «Jehovah» and accuses other Christians of hiding the name. This is a historical deception.
First, the Van Dyck does not hide the name Jehovah. It uses the word «Lord» (capitalised where possible) to translate it, which is a respected Arabic and Christian translation tradition going back to antiquity. The Jewish translations of the Old Testament (the Septuagint) used «Kyrios» (Lord) instead of the name Jehovah out of reverence, and this tradition passed into Christianity.
Second, the apostles and Christ Himself did not use the name «Jehovah» in daily discourse. Christ taught us to pray «Our Father which art in heaven» (Matthew 6:9) — not «Jehovah which art in heaven». The apostles in their Greek letters used «Kyrios» (Lord) and «Theos» (God) — not «Jehovah». If the use of the name «Jehovah» were essential to salvation, Christ and the apostles would have insisted upon it.
Third, the New World Translation inserted the name «Jehovah» into the New Testament 237 times — even though not a single Greek manuscript contains this name there. This is a plain and documented falsification of the text. The New World Translation took the Greek word «Kyrios» (Lord) in the New Testament and substituted «Jehovah» whenever the organisation decided the context required it — and kept it as «Lord» wherever its teaching required. This is theological manipulation, not translation.
Seventh — Worship in Heaven — Christ Receives What Belongs to God Alone
To conclude the positive case for the deity of Christ, let us look at what happens in heaven itself according to the book of Revelation. For if there is any place in Scripture where we might expect the distinction between God and creatures to be maintained with absolute clarity, it is in the very throne room of God, where every being present knows with perfect and complete knowledge precisely who and what every other being is, where no confusion is possible and no deception could exist. And what we find there is Christ receiving precisely what Jehovah alone may receive.
Read Revelation chapter 5. John sees in heaven a throne, and on it God. Then he sees «a Lamb as it had been slain» — and this is Christ. Then we witness an astonishing scene:
Prostration before Christ. The offering of incense and prayers to Christ. These are acts of worship. The Scriptures forbid worship to any creature besides God. When Cornelius tried to prostrate before Peter:
And when John tried to prostrate before the angel:
But Christ receives worship — because He is God.
And furthermore, we see all of heaven singing:
God seated upon the throne and Christ the Lamb receive the same honour and the same glory. This would be impossible if Christ were not God.
Eighth — Why This Subject Is Eternally Decisive
You may ask: why does all this matter? Is it not enough to be a good person, to serve my organisation faithfully, and to wish God well?
The answer comes not from theologians or councils or historical documents, but from the mouth of Christ Himself, in a direct statement to the people of His own day who had rejected His claims to deity:
«I am he» — once again the divine Name. Christ says that whoever does not believe that He is «I am» — that is, Jehovah Himself — will die in his sins. Not receiving a lesser reward, not entering a lower heaven, not merely losing an opportunity — but dying in sin and going to destruction.
If you believe in Christ as an archangel or a created being, you believe in another christ — not the biblical Christ. And faith in another christ does not save. The apostle Paul warned:
There is «another Jesus» — a counterfeit christ. Your organisation preaches another christ, another spirit, another gospel. A doctor who withholds a difficult diagnosis to spare the patient discomfort is not being kind — he is being negligent. And a Christian who withholds the full truth of Scripture to avoid a difficult conversation is not being loving — he is allowing a soul to remain in a peril it does not know it is in. We do not withhold the truth here. We speak it with all the love we have for your eternal soul.
Ninth — A Personal Invitation to You
I speak to you now not as a theologian defending a doctrinal position, but as one who genuinely cares about your eternal soul. You are not an enemy — you are a human being whom God loved and for whom Christ died. You search for truth with all your passion, you study the Scriptures, you preach to others. But all this effort is wasted if it is not built upon the true biblical Christ.
Begin by reading the Van Dyck, or a faithful biblical translation. Read John chapter one slowly, without your organisation's interpretations. Read Colossians chapters one and two. Read Hebrews chapter one. Read Revelation chapter five. And ask God: «O my God, show me the truth as it is, even if it costs me leaving my organisation. I love the truth more than my comfort».
If you pray this prayer with a genuinely open heart — not as a formality, not half-heartedly, but with a real willingness to be shown whatever is true regardless of the personal cost — then rest on this: God is faithful and He will answer. You will see the true Christ — the incarnate God, Jehovah the Saviour, the Lord risen bodily from the dead, seated at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven, who is worthy of all worship and honour and glory for ever.
Salvation is not in your membership of an organisation. Salvation is not in your keeping of rules. Salvation is not in your going from door to door. Salvation is by faith in Christ as the Holy Scriptures reveal Him — not as your organisation has repackaged and redefined Him, but as the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation declare Him.
Which Lord? The Lord Jesus Christ — the incarnate Jehovah — the one and only Saviour in whom God has placed the entirety of human salvation. There is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved. Not an organisation, not a system of works, not a doctrinal examination — but Christ alone, received by faith alone, as revealed by Scripture alone.
The Seal — 1 Timothy 3:16
I close this article with the verse that perhaps summarises all I have said:
"God was manifest in the flesh" — this is the mystery of godliness. This is the gospel of the Holy Scriptures. God was manifest in the flesh — was incarnate, born of a virgin, lived among men, was crucified, rose bodily, ascended into heaven, sits at the right hand of the Father. This is the Lord Jesus Christ. Any teaching that denies this denies «the mystery of godliness» — that is, it denies the very substance of Christianity.
Your translation tampers with this verse to read «He who was manifest in the flesh» — dropping the title «God» and replacing it with a vague pronoun. But the Received Text Greek is unmistakable: «θεὸς ἐφανερώθη ἐν σαρκί» — «God was manifest in the flesh». This is the gospel. This is what we preach. This is the Christ to whom we invite you.
Leave the counterfeit teaching. Accept the true Christ. He will love you with a love you have never fully experienced — a love that does not depend on your performance, your door-to-door hours, your adherence to the organisation's ever-changing interpretations, or your submission to human authority. He will receive you as you are, forgive you completely on the basis of His atoning blood, and give you an eternal life that you cannot lose and that no one can take from you.
Tenth — Additional Proof: the Angel of Jehovah Is Christ Before the Incarnation
In the Old Testament we find a remarkable figure called «the Angel of Jehovah» (in Hebrew: «Mal'akh Yehovah»). This «Angel» appears in many places, but is not an ordinary angel — He is Jehovah Himself, yet He appears visibly to men. This is the Lord Jesus Christ before His incarnation.
The Angel of Jehovah Receives Worship
In Genesis 22, the Angel of Jehovah stopped Abraham from sacrificing Isaac. Read what He said:
The Angel says «from me» — as though He were the God who was requesting the sacrifice. An ordinary angel would never speak this way.
And when the Angel of Jehovah appeared to Moses at the burning bush, He said:
The Angel says «I am God». This is not an angel — this is God Himself in a visible form. This is Christ before His incarnation.
Jacob Wrestles with the Angel of Jehovah and Sees God Face to Face
In Genesis 32, Jacob — the patriarch of the twelve tribes of Israel, one of the most significant figures in all of redemptive history — wrestled through an entire long night with what the text initially and mysteriously calls simply «a man». When morning broke, the mysterious «man» blessed him and changed his name to «Israel», a name meaning «one who has striven with God and with men, and has prevailed». Jacob immediately grasped the significance of what had happened. He says:
Jacob recognised that the one he had wrestled was God.
Hosea 12:4-5 explains this event: "Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed... The LORD God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial." Hosea calls the one Jacob wrestled «the angel» — then identifies him as «the LORD God of hosts, Jehovah is His memorial». Angel = Jehovah. This is the equation of the Old Testament.
Sodom and Gomorrah — Jehovah Rains from Jehovah
Read this verse with close attention:
In Hebrew: «waYehovah himtir al-Sedom... me'et Yehovah min-hashamayim» — literally: «and Jehovah rained upon Sodom... from Jehovah out of heaven». Jehovah on the earth sends fire from Jehovah in heaven. Two Jehovahs? No — one Jehovah in two Persons. Jehovah who was speaking with Abraham on the earth (Genesis 18-19) is the Son. Jehovah who sent the fire from heaven is the Father. Two distinct Persons, one God, the same Name. This single verse demolishes your organisation's simple unitarianism. The Holy Scriptures do not know a God who is one in the sense of a single Person only. The Scriptures know Jehovah the one in three Persons.
Eleventh — Isaiah 9:6 — The Names of Christ
The prophet Isaiah wrote of the coming Christ:
Four extraordinary titles — every one of them carrying an unmistakable weight of deity that no created being could ever bear. Read them carefully, because your organisation's teaching that Christ is «a created being» cannot survive honest contact with these four titles:
- «Wonderful, Counsellor» — in Hebrew «Pele Yo'ets» — «the Wonderful Counsellor». In Judges 13:18 the Angel of Jehovah was asked His name and said: "Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret?" — in Hebrew «it is wonderful». «Wonderful» is a title of Jehovah Himself. Christ bears this name.
- «The mighty God» — in Hebrew «El Gibbor» — «the mighty God». The same title is used of Jehovah in Isaiah 10:21: "The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God." The New World Translation attempts to distinguish between «the mighty God» and «God Almighty» to make Christ seem lesser — but the Hebrew text uses the same expression in both cases.
- «The everlasting Father» — in Hebrew «Avi Ad» — «Father of eternity» or «the everlasting Father». This does not mean that Christ is the Father in the sense of the first Person — but that He is the Father of eternity, the possessor of eternal ages. This title applies only to God.
- «The Prince of Peace» — the ruler of peace, through whom alone the peace of God with man is obtained.
The child born in Bethlehem bears these four titles. Can a created being bear the titles of deity? Impossible. Christ is the mighty God.
Twelfth — Christ Is Eternal — There Was No Time When He Was Not
Your organisation teaches that Christ is «the first creature» — that is, God created Him first, and then created everything else through Him. This is an ancient idea that the Church declared heretical in the fourth century, known as Arianism (named after Arius). The early Church rejected it with force at the Council of Nicaea (AD 325) because it openly contradicts Scripture.
Read John 1:1-3: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."
«In the beginning was the Word» — the Greek verb «ēn» (ἦν) is the imperfect form indicating continuous past existence. «In the beginning, the Word already was». This differs fundamentally from «became» or «was created». The Word was existing before any beginning, and in every beginning.
Compare with John 1:14: "And the Word was made flesh." Here the Greek verb «egeneto» (ἐγένετο) — «became, came to be». The Word had not been flesh before, then became flesh. This happened in time. But the Word Himself did not «become» — He always was. He only became flesh at the Incarnation.
The distinction between «ēn» (was eternally) and «egeneto» (became at a point in time) in John 1 is intentional — a distinction between the eternal God and things grasped within time. Christ is the First in eternity, and became man in time.
Micah 5:2 prophesied of Christ's birth in Bethlehem: "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting."
«Whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting» — the Hebrew phrase «mimei olam» (מִימֵי עוֹלָם) means «from the days of eternity» — before any time. The one born in Bethlehem in time had his goings forth before time. This Being is eternal — and therefore is not a creature.
Thirteenth — The Holy Ghost Is a Full Divine Person
I spoke in the sixth section about the evidences of the personhood of the Holy Ghost. I add here further evidences to complete the picture.
The Holy Ghost Speaks in the First Person
In Acts 13:2, the Holy Ghost said: "Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them." Pause on the pronouns: «me» and «I have called». These are not the pronouns of a force. Electricity does not issue commands with personal pronouns. Wind does not claim ownership of the work it is doing. Only a Person speaks this way — a Being with identity, intention, and will. This is a divine Person speaking, not an active force.
The Holy Ghost Has Memory and Understanding
The apostle Paul writes:
Searching is a mental process. A force does not search — an intelligent Person searches. The Holy Ghost searches the depths of God — meaning He knows God with a deep and complete knowledge. This requires a personality, a mind, and a will.
The Holy Ghost Is the One Who Teaches
The Lord Jesus Christ promised: "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things" (John 14:26). «The Comforter» — in Greek «Parakletos» (παράκλητος) — meaning «one called alongside you, an advocate, a counsellor». This is an entirely personal title, inapplicable to a force.
Furthermore, the pronoun «he shall teach» — in Greek «ekeinos» (ἐκεῖνος) — the masculine pronoun. «Spirit» in Greek is a neuter word («pneuma»), so grammatically the pronoun referring to it should be neuter. But Christ used a masculine pronoun, breaking the grammatical rule, to emphasise that the Holy Ghost is a Person — not a «thing».
The Single Baptismal Formula for the Name of the Three
As mentioned earlier, let us deepen the point: "baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" (Matthew 28:19). «Name» singular — in Greek «eis to onoma» (εἰς τὸ ὄνομα) — not «eis ta onomata» (the names). One name for the three Persons. This is the mystery of Jehovah — one name, three Persons. If the Holy Ghost were a force, the formula would be «in the name of the Father and the Son and the power of God» — or simply «in the name of the Father and the Son». But the Lord Jesus Christ Himself included the Holy Ghost in the one name of the Trinity.
Fourteenth — The Last Opportunity to Reconsider
Before the final conclusion, I remind you with love: what you are hearing now you may never have heard before. Your organisation takes extraordinary care to ensure that its members do not encounter these arguments in any sustained or serious form — because these arguments, taken together, demolish the entire theological structure the organisation has built over more than a century. It carefully controls the sources of theological teaching available to members, discourages engagement with outside material, forbids participation in other Bible studies, and applies social and familial pressure against those who ask too many questions. This is a clear pattern in all organisations that protect their teachings with fear rather than with truth.
I love you with the love of Christ. I do not hate your organisation — but I do hate that it is holding you in an error that will cost you your eternity if you do not act in time. Ask yourself honestly:
- If my translation is correct, why does it differ from all the ancient Greek manuscripts in thousands of places?
- If Christ is a creature, why did He accept Thomas's confession of «my God» without objection?
- If Christ did not rise bodily, why did He say «handle me and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones»?
- If the 144,000 are symbolic, why does the Scriptures list the names of the twelve tribes with specific numbers?
- If Israel is replaced, why does the apostle Paul cry «God forbid» with the strongest expression in Greek?
These are five questions that the teachers in your organisation cannot answer from the plain, unmanipulated text of Scripture itself. They will answer from your organisation's books. But the books of men do not overcome the Word of God.
I invite you with an open heart to a simple position: do not listen to me. And do not listen to your organisation. Listen to the Holy Scriptures. Read John 20:28 for yourself. Read Colossians 2:9: "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." Read Titus 2:13: "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ" — the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. The Greek here is unambiguous: these are not two separate persons but one — the great God who is also our Saviour Jesus Christ. Read with an open mind. Do not judge the text by what your organisation wants you to believe — but subject your organisation's teaching to the text. This is what the true Christian does. This is what God deserves from us.
And if God opens your eyes and you see the true Christ, know that the suffering you will face (loss of friends, isolation from the organisation, separation from your religious family) will be as nothing compared to the glory of truly knowing God. The apostle Paul said:
Fifteenth — The Testimony of Those Who Left the False Teaching
I want to leave with you one well-documented and historically verifiable reality: over the course of the twentieth century and into the present day, millions of sincere people who were devoted and faithful followers of this organisation — people who had given years or decades of their lives to its service — have left it after studying the Holy Scriptures for themselves with open eyes. They did not leave out of laziness or moral failure, but because of the truth. They were reading the same Van Dyck, and they saw what we have seen together in this article.
The stories of these men and women are remarkably consistent in their pattern, whatever their background, whatever country they came from, whatever language they spoke: each began with a simple, honest question that the organisation could not answer from the plain text of Scripture. «Why does Thomas say to Christ: my God?» «Why did Christ accept this confession without refusing it?» «If Israel is replaced, why does the apostle Paul say: God forbid, He hath not cast away His people?» One simple question lit a flame, led to searching, and ended in freedom in Christ.
The Holy Scriptures promise:
The truth liberates — not just the truth as a concept, but Christ who is the Truth. False teaching enslaves — and the slavery it imposes is particularly cruel because it wears the face of spiritual service and gives its prisoners the feeling that they are especially pleasing to God through their efforts. When you come to know the true Christ — the incarnate Jehovah, who died bodily, rose bodily, and returned bodily to heaven — you will understand why Christian freedom is unique. You will not be serving an organisation — you will be enjoying a personal relationship with God Himself.
The Difference Between «Knowing About» and «Knowing»
You may know a great deal «about» Christ. You know He lived in Galilee, taught in the temple, died at Calvary. This is historical «knowledge». But do you know Him personally?
Christ once said to the devoutly religious organisations of His time:
These people memorised the Scriptures. They studied the law daily. They were «known for their piety». Yet Christ said to them: «you will not come to me that you might have life». Knowing the Scriptures is not enough. Eternal life is in coming to Christ personally.
Are you coming to Christ, or are you serving an organisation in His name? Are you trusting in Him alone for salvation, or trusting in your membership and your works within a human system?
The Final Invitation
Dear one, I invite you now with an open heart: do not close this page and forget what you have read. Pray this prayer sincerely:
«O my God, if Christ is the incarnate Jehovah, show me this in Your Word. If He rose bodily, show me that. If my organisation is teaching error, give me the courage to leave it whatever the cost. I want the truth, even if it breaks my heart. Speak to me through the Van Dyck, which Your believing children have preserved through the ages. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.»
He who seeks sincerely will find.
This is the promise of God. He is faithful and does not break His word.
The Final Seal
I will close with the greatest declaration in all the pastoral epistles, which summarises the whole theology of the New Testament:
Six truths packed into a single verse — and every single one of them refutes an element of your organisation's teaching. This is why your organisation's New World Translation tampers with this verse, changing «God was manifest in the flesh» to the ambiguous «He who was manifest in the flesh». But the original text is unmistakable, and it stands as the Holy Spirit's own summary of the gospel that true Christianity has always proclaimed:
- «God was manifest in the flesh» — the Incarnation. God became man in Jesus Christ. This demolishes your organisation's teaching that denies the deity of Christ.
- «Justified in the Spirit» — the Justification. Christ was declared righteous by the Holy Ghost through the resurrection. The Holy Ghost as a Person is active.
- «Seen of angels» — the angels witnessed Him. He is above them, not one of them. This demolishes your organisation's teaching that He is the archangel Michael.
- «Preached unto the Gentiles» — the worldwide preaching, encompassing all nations, not a modern organisation only.
- «Believed on in the world» — personal faith in Him, not in an organisation about Him.
- «Received up into glory» — the bodily ascension in glory. The same body that was crucified, rose, and ascended. This demolishes your organisation's teaching that He did not rise bodily.
Dear one, this is our gospel. This is the mystery of godliness. This is the Lord Jesus Christ whom we preach and to whom we invite you. Not a created christ, nor Michael, nor a disembodied spirit — but God who was manifest in the flesh, who was incarnate to save, who died upon the cross, who rose powerfully on the third day bodily, who ascended into heaven bodily, who sits at the right hand of the Father now, and who will come again to complete His kingdom for ever and ever.
To the one living and true God, Father and Son and Holy Ghost, whose name is Jehovah for ever — to Him be all worship and glory and honour to the ages of all ages. Amen. And to every reader who has been shaken by what they have read in this article: do not let the weight of what it would cost you to act on this truth stop you from acting on it. The apostle Paul lost everything — his position, his reputation, his social world — when he turned from the religious system he had served to follow the true Christ. And he counted it all as rubbish compared to knowing Christ Jesus his Lord. So will you, if you are willing to take the step. The God who kept His promises to Abraham through four thousand years of human history is the same God who will keep His promise to you: ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.
And may that grace — the free, unmerited, inexhaustible grace of the true and living God — find you, open your eyes, free you from every false teaching, and bring you to the feet of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate Jehovah, in whose name alone is salvation. We ask God to open your eyes to the truth, and to deliver you from the teaching of your organisation, and to bring you into the liberty of the children of God.
This article has covered much ground — manuscript evidence, dispensational distinctions, the deity of Christ established from both testaments, the person of the Holy Ghost, and the falsification of your organisation's translation. But all of these are strands woven together into a single tapestry whose central image is clear and unmistakable: the one who spoke to Moses from the burning bush, who rained fire from heaven upon Sodom, who wrestled with Jacob at the Jabbok, who dictated words to Isaiah from the throne of heaven — that one is the same one who lay in a manger in Bethlehem, walked the hills of Galilee, stretched out His arms on the cross of Calvary, walked out of the tomb on the third day, and ascended into glory at the right hand of the Father. His name has not changed. Jehovah is His name in both testaments. Jesus — Yehoshua, Jehovah saves — is His name in the flesh. And He is worthy of all your worship, all your trust, all your surrender, and all your love — not the conditional, performance-dependent attachment that your organisation has trained you to give it, but the free, whole-hearted, eternal love that belongs to the one who created you, redeemed you, and is holding the universe together for your sake.
Glory to God in our Lord Jesus Christ, for ever and ever and ever. Amen.
An Invitation to Receive Divine Salvation — Accept The Lord Jesus Christ as Your Personal Saviour
Dear reader — if these words have touched your heart and you have recognised that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour, know that God is calling you to Himself in this very moment. You do not need a priest, or a human mediator, or a holy place, or rituals or works. The Lord Jesus Christ paid the full price on the cross, and the promise of God is certain and clear:
What saves you is not the words of this prayer — but the faith in your heart that the Lord Jesus Christ died for you and rose from the dead. But if you want to express your faith in sincere words, read this prayer with a humble heart as though you are speaking to the living God:
The Prayer of Salvation
"O Great, Holy, and Loving True God,
I come to You now with complete humility, confessing that I am a sinner. I have broken Your commandments many times in my thoughts, in my words, and in my deeds. I know that my sin deserves eternal death and eternal separation from You. I have no good work I can offer that is able to redeem my soul, and no righteousness of my own to cover my nakedness before Your holiness.
But I believe with all my heart in the testimony of Your Word that Your only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, died on the cross for my sins — bearing in my place the punishment I deserved. I believe that He was buried, and that He rose from the dead on the third day, alive and victorious over death and the grave, and that He is alive now unto the ages of ages.
In this blessed moment, I receive the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. I trust in Him alone — not in my works, not in my religion, not in rituals or any person or angel or saint. On the Lord Jesus Christ alone, and on His precious blood shed on the cross, I build the hope of my eternal salvation.
I thank You, my Father, that You have now received me in the Lord Jesus Christ, and have forgiven all my sins, and have given me eternal life as a free gift by Your grace. I thank You that You have sent Your Holy Ghost to dwell in my heart, bearing witness to me that I have become Your child. Give me grace to know You more day by day, and to live the rest of my life for Your glory alone.
I pray all this in the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Ghost. Amen."
After You Have Prayed — What Now?
If you prayed this prayer from a truly believing heart, the greatest miracle in all your history has happened in this moment: you have passed from death to life, from darkness to light, from the kingdom of sin into the kingdom of the beloved Son of God. You have become a child of the living God, and God's own promise guarantees this to you in His trustworthy Word:
Notice the power of this promise: "gave he power" — a settled right, guaranteed, not a wish or a possibility. And notice "them that believe on his name" — not "those who performed great deeds," not "those who completed rituals," but simply "them that believe." You are now one of them — with absolute certainty.
Here are five simple steps to establish you in your new life with the Lord Jesus Christ:
First — Read the King James Bible every day. Begin with the Gospel of John, then continue through the rest of the New Testament, then the Psalms and Proverbs. God speaks to you through His Word as a father speaks with his son. Do not read quickly — read with meditation and prayer. "The holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation" (2 Timothy 3:15).
Second — Pray every day. Speak to God as a loving Father — not with memorised words, but with words from your heart. Share with Him your joys and sorrows and questions and fears. Prayer is the breathing of the Christian life. "Pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
Third — Join a Bible-believing church. Do not walk this road alone. Faith grows in the fellowship of believers, where the Word is preached faithfully and baptism and the Lord's Supper are practised according to the King James Bible. "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together" (Hebrews 10:25).
Fourth — Be baptised according to the King James Bible. Baptism is not a condition for salvation, but it is the first step of obedience after faith. It is a public declaration that you died with the Lord Jesus Christ and were buried with Him and rose with Him to a new life. "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved" (Mark 16:16) — faith first, then baptism as its natural fruit.
Fifth — Witness to others about the Lord Jesus Christ. What you have experienced of salvation and love cannot remain hidden. Begin with your family and friends. Tell them simply and honestly how the Lord Jesus Christ changed your life. "That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you" (1 John 1:3).
And finally, remember always that your salvation is not built on your feelings or on any work you perform — but on the unchanging promise of God:
"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life."
— 1 John 5:13
Notice: "that ye may know" — not "that ye may hope," not "that ye may wish," not "that ye may wait in anxious fear." But that ye may know with complete, unshakeable certainty that you have eternal life. This is the difference between all the world's religions and the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ: religions say "work and perhaps you will be saved" — and the Word of God alone says: "believe and know that you are saved."

"Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth." — Luke 15:10
