A Jehovah's Witness Reading This Page — and What That Means

The fact that you are reading this page means something is searching within you — perhaps you questioned a teaching, perhaps you read a Bible verse that did not align with what the Organization taught you, perhaps you felt that your field service did not fill the inner emptiness. That feeling is not wrong. That is the voice of God calling you to a deeper truth.

We speak to you in genuine love and complete clarity — because genuine love does not conceal truth.

Who Is the Lord Jesus Christ Truly?

You were taught that Jesus Christ is the archangel Michael — the first creation, but a creation. The New World Translation reads John 1:1: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god" — adding the indefinite article with no basis in the original Greek.

Every ancient Greek manuscript and every historically authoritative translation before the Organization existed — including the Interlinear translation of 1864 published by the Organization itself — reads: "and the Word was God." No invented article.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." — John 1:1

And the apostle Thomas — when he saw the Lord Jesus Christ risen from the dead — said:

"My Lord and my God." — John 20:28

This is a direct declaration of worship. And the Lord Jesus Christ did not correct Thomas or say "do not worship me." He accepted this confession with the silence of divine approval.

Where Did You Learn What You Were Taught?

All Jehovah's Witnesses theology came from the writings of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society — which has changed its major teachings many times. 1914 was supposed to be the end of the world. Then 1918. Then 1925. Then 1975. Every failed prediction means the Governing Body that claims direct guidance from God has been wrong multiple times on the most critical questions.

The Holy Bible has a clear standard for the true prophet:

"When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken." — Deuteronomy 18:22

The prophet who prophesies and whose words do not come to pass — is not from God. This is not a harsh judgment — this is the Holy Bible's own standard.

The 144,000 — Are You Among Them?

You were taught that the 144,000 alone will go to heaven — and that most Jehovah's Witnesses will live on a paradise earth. But the Holy Bible states plainly that the 144,000 are all from the twelve tribes of Israel:

"Sealed of all the tribes of the children of Israel." — Revelation 7:4

This teaching denies the complete biblical promise for every believer — to be in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ:

"Having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ." — Philippians 1:23

The apostle did not say "most of us will live on a paradise earth." He said: with Him — in His personal presence.

What Is the Next Step?

Read the Holy Bible alone — without the Organization's books and without the direction of the Governing Body. Ask God to guide you to truth. This is the scriptural examination the Holy Bible itself called for:

"These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily." — Acts 17:11

Examining — not following. Reading — not being indoctrinated. To learn the full biblical teaching on the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, we invite you to read our article on Jehovah's Witnesses — False Translations and Cult Teachings on this website.

Life after Leaving — What Does One Who Leaves the Organization Find?

One of the hardest things a Jehovah's Witness faces when beginning to question is the fear of loneliness. The Organization built around you a complete community — family, friends, identity. Leaving the Organization often means losing all of this. That fear is real and valid.

But the Holy Bible promises you something greater than any human community:

"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want." — Psalm 23:1

And concerning believers who left everything for truth:

"There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother... but he shall receive an hundredfold." — Mark 10:29–30

Those who left the Organization for biblical truth — many of them testify that they found a spiritual family deeper and more loving than anything they had known before.

The Organization's Failed Prophecies — the Complete Pattern

1914: The Organization declared that Christ had returned invisibly and that the end of the existing generation would come soon. It did not happen. 1918: The early founders predicted the end of the world and the resurrection of believers. It did not happen. 1925: Rutherford promised the return of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob from the dead — and built a house in San Diego "to receive them." It did not happen. 1975: Designated as the end of six thousand years of human existence and the beginning of the millennium. It did not happen — and the Organization lost hundreds of thousands of members in the aftermath.

Every time a prophecy fails — the Organization changes the interpretation. This pattern alone is sufficient to prove that what the Organization says is not from God.

The Holy Bible Is Sufficient — without an Organizational Intermediary

Read the First Epistle of John entirely — alone, without any organizational aids. You will find in it very clear promises of the certainty of salvation for everyone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ — not for 144,000 only, but for every believer:

"He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." — 1 John 5:12

Eternal life is tied to a Person — do you have the true Lord Jesus Christ as the Word of God defines Him? That is the only question that matters.

An Invitation to Receive Divine Salvation — Accept The Lord Jesus Christ as Your Personal Saviour

Dear reader — if these words have touched your heart and you have recognised that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour, know that God is calling you to Himself in this very moment. You do not need a priest, or a human mediator, or a holy place, or rituals or works. The Lord Jesus Christ paid the full price on the cross, and the promise of God is certain and clear:

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." — Romans 10:13

What saves you is not the words of this prayer — but the faith in your heart that the Lord Jesus Christ died for you and rose from the dead. But if you want to express your faith in sincere words, read this prayer with a humble heart as though you are speaking to the living God:

The Prayer of Salvation

"O Great, Holy, and Loving True God,

I come to You now with complete humility, confessing that I am a sinner. I have broken Your commandments many times in my thoughts, in my words, and in my deeds. I know that my sin deserves eternal death and eternal separation from You. I have no good work I can offer that is able to redeem my soul, and no righteousness of my own to cover my nakedness before Your holiness.

But I believe with all my heart in the testimony of Your Word that Your only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, died on the cross for my sins — bearing in my place the punishment I deserved. I believe that He was buried, and that He rose from the dead on the third day, alive and victorious over death and the grave, and that He is alive now unto the ages of ages.

In this blessed moment, I receive the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. I trust in Him alone — not in my works, not in my religion, not in rituals or any person or angel or saint. On the Lord Jesus Christ alone, and on His precious blood shed on the cross, I build the hope of my eternal salvation.

I thank You, my Father, that You have now received me in the Lord Jesus Christ, and have forgiven all my sins, and have given me eternal life as a free gift by Your grace. I thank You that You have sent Your Holy Ghost to dwell in my heart, bearing witness to me that I have become Your child. Give me grace to know You more day by day, and to live the rest of my life for Your glory alone.

I pray all this in the name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Ghost. Amen."

After You Have Prayed — What Now?

If you prayed this prayer from a truly believing heart, the greatest miracle in all your history has happened in this moment: you have passed from death to life, from darkness to light, from the kingdom of sin into the kingdom of the beloved Son of God. You have become a child of the living God, and God's own promise guarantees this to you in His trustworthy Word:

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." — John 1:12

Notice the power of this promise: "gave he power" — a settled right, guaranteed, not a wish or a possibility. And notice "them that believe on his name" — not "those who performed great deeds," not "those who completed rituals," but simply "them that believe." You are now one of them — with absolute certainty.

Here are five simple steps to establish you in your new life with the Lord Jesus Christ:

First — Read the King James Bible every day. Begin with the Gospel of John, then continue through the rest of the New Testament, then the Psalms and Proverbs. God speaks to you through His Word as a father speaks with his son. Do not read quickly — read with meditation and prayer. "The holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation" (2 Timothy 3:15).

Second — Pray every day. Speak to God as a loving Father — not with memorised words, but with words from your heart. Share with Him your joys and sorrows and questions and fears. Prayer is the breathing of the Christian life. "Pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Third — Join a Bible-believing church. Do not walk this road alone. Faith grows in the fellowship of believers, where the Word is preached faithfully and baptism and the Lord's Supper are practised according to the King James Bible. "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together" (Hebrews 10:25).

Fourth — Be baptised according to the King James Bible. Baptism is not a condition for salvation, but it is the first step of obedience after faith. It is a public declaration that you died with the Lord Jesus Christ and were buried with Him and rose with Him to a new life. "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved" (Mark 16:16) — faith first, then baptism as its natural fruit.

Fifth — Witness to others about the Lord Jesus Christ. What you have experienced of salvation and love cannot remain hidden. Begin with your family and friends. Tell them simply and honestly how the Lord Jesus Christ changed your life. "That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you" (1 John 1:3).

And finally, remember always that your salvation is not built on your feelings or on any work you perform — but on the unchanging promise of God:

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life."
— 1 John 5:13

Notice: "that ye may know" — not "that ye may hope," not "that ye may wish," not "that ye may wait in anxious fear." But that ye may know with complete, unshakeable certainty that you have eternal life. This is the difference between all the world's religions and the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ: religions say "work and perhaps you will be saved" — and the Word of God alone says: "believe and know that you are saved."
